The investigation is continuing into the weapons call originating in the 100 to 200 block of Main Ave Friday evening between 5:50 and 6pm. 

Between 5:50 pm and 6:00 pm the Halifax Regional Police responded to the 100 to 200 block of Main Ave as well as the QE11 hospital for a report of two males suffering from stab wounds. Investigators are in the early stages of the investigation and are attempting to speak with all involved parties. At this time there are two males who suffered stab wounds. One of the males remains in hospital. Both males are believed to have sustained non life threatening injuries. Currently investigators have 4 males in custody as the investigation continues. It is believed at this point that this is an ongoing dispute between parties known to one another.

Update 5:00am 01/26/13

At this time one 17 year old male remains in hospital with what is believed to be non life threatening injuries. The second male involved, aged 16, remains in custody and will be facing a number of criminal code chages including aggrivated assault and assault with a weapon. A third male, 17 years of age, is facing breach of probation charges and possession of a prohibited weapon. The scene of the incident was located in the 200 block of Coronation Ave. Members of the HRP/RCMP General Investigative Section remain engaged in the investiation. At this time it is believed that this is an ongoing dispute between parties known to one another.
