Correction/Update: Man in custody after shots fired, Lower Sackville, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP are correcting and updating information that was issued in a news release earlier this morning. At approximately 12:30 a.m., Halifax District RCMP, assisted by RCMP Police Dog Services, responded to a 911 call of shots being fired on Jennifer Court.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., Halifax District RCMP, assisted by RCMP Police Dog Services, responded to a 911 call of shots being fired on Jennifer Court.

A preliminary investigation determined that shortly after the shots were fired a male was seen running down the street and a medium sized car was observed driving away from the area.

A male suspect matching the clothing description was arrested a short distance away from the area where the shots were fired. The 19-year-old suspect from Bedford is in police custody. The General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating.
