Couple Marries As Flames Rage At White Point Beach Resort

The massive fire that engulfed the main lodge of White Point Beach Resort near Liverpool on Saturday didn't stop one couple from going through with their wedding vows slated to be held at the resort that same day.

CTV Atlantic reports that Mike and Nancy Rogers were supposed to have their ceremony and reception at the Lodge that afternoon when the fire broke out in the main building. Determined to go through with the ceremony once evacuations were complete, the couple had White Point staff move wedding guests to a separate outbuilding. Though it was no longer the 'dream' wedding she'd envisioned, Nancy Rogers said the events of the day certainly made it unforgettable — but not in the way they had planned!

Details are still unclear as to what started the blaze in the 83-year old wooden structure. Read the full article here: http://atlantic.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20111114/nova-scotia-wedding-fire-111114/20111114/?hub=AtlanticHome
