Crime of the week – Halifax Regional Police investigates aggravated assault, Dartmouth, N.S.

Halifax Regional Police and Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving an aggravated assault.

On, Monday, August 18, 2014 at approximately 9 p.m., a 52-year-old man left Lawton’s Drugs on Primrose St.

in Dartmouth and headed towards Jackson Rd. The man was approached from behind by an unknown suspect who asked him what he had in the shopping bag. As the victim turned around, the attacker immediately struck the victim in the face with a blunt object. Police patrolling the area found the victim bleeding and on the ground, and he was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
