The Public Prosecution Service has appointed John Todd Martin as Crown attorney in the Bridgewater office.

Martin Herschorn, director of public prosecutions, announced the appointment today, May 12.

“With his education and prosecutorial experience, Mr.

Martin will be a valuable addition to our team of Crown attorneys,” said Mr. Herschorn.

A native of Sydney, Mr. Martin graduated in 2008 from St. Francis Xavier University with a bachelor of arts in economics, and was a dean’s list student. Mr. Martin graduated from the University of New Brunswick Law School in 2012.

He articled with Sampson McDougall Barristers and Solicitors in Sydney and in 2013, was appointed as Crown attorney with the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Justice, Public Prosecutions Division.

A certified youth soccer coach, Mr. Martin spent several years with Soccer Cape Breton, coaching children aged 8 to 14.
