At 8:39 a.m., officers responded to a collision between a truck and a cyclist at the intersection of Purcells Cove Road and Spinnaker Drive. A propane truck fatally struck a female cyclist who was travelling in the area. Police are attempting to identify the victim at this time. The Accident Investigation Unit is still on-scene, and Purcells Cove Road between Spinnaker Drive and Herring Cove Road will remain closed until the investigation is complete.
