UPDATED Someone is filming university women in Halifax without their consent and making the videos available on the Internet.

The videos that were uploaded to YouTube under the username "LeggingSpy" have now been removed from the video sharing service, the user's account apparently deleted voluntarily.

This message now appears where the Youtube user "LeggingSpy" uploaded videos to YouTube.

Halifax Police have stated that they were reviewing the videos posted to the popular video site, and found the videos to be "disconcerting".

A mass email sent to Dalhousie students yesterday warns students of the activity, and says the videos "appear to have been taken in a manner where the subjects would have been unaware that they were being recorded"

According to the email, the videos were shot at Dalhousie's Studley Campus.

Anyone who sees any questionable activity such as this, or suspects they are being filmed are asked to contact Dalhousie Security at 494-4109.
