Daytime break and enter results in arrest – Cole Harbour

Prior to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Halifax District RCMP responded to a break and enter at a residence on Highland Cres. in Cole Harbour.

A male suspect broke in to the residence where he encountered someone in the home. The male suspect left and the home occupant called 911. The male suspect was later arrested on Taranaki Dr. after a concerned resident there called RCMP to report a suspicious male in their neighbourhood.

A 62-year-old man, of Halifax, was arrested without incident. He was held in police custody and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today. He is facing the following charges:

  • Break and Enter with Intent
  • Mischief
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Possession of Break-In Instrument
  • Obstruct Police Officer
