Dogs attack two youth, animals taken into custody

Police are investigating a dog attack incident that occurred in Halifax yesterday.

At approximately 4:45 p.m. police responded to Evans Avenue in Halifax in relation to a youth who had been attacked by three dogs. The youth was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly thereafter one the dogs attacked another youth who was in the area. EHS treated the youth at the scene. An officer was also attacked but was not injured.

Animal Services has taken custody of the three dogs and is continuing the investigation.
