Downtown Subway robbed

Just before 2 A.M. this morning on December 22nd, 2021, Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a commercial robbery that took place at the Subway located at 5669 Spring Garden Road Halifax.

It was reported that the suspect entered and produced a black handgun demanding money. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and the suspect fled the store traveling on foot Westbound on Spring Garden Road.

Police Patrol and a K-9 officer searched the area, but the suspect has not yet been located.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Staff described the suspect as a white man, 5’0″ tall, thin, wearing all black with a mask where only his eyes could be seen and having a tattoo on his left hand.

The investigation is in its early stages. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
