At 7:36 p.m. last evening, two pedestrians were in a marked crosswalk on Astral Dr. in Cole Harbour when they were struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrians, a 70-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man, were transported to hospital by EHS with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Honda car, a 49-year-old man, was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for Failing to Yield to Pedestrian in Crosswalk. This offence carries a fine of $697.50.
