Driver charged with leaving the scene of an ac­cident and impaired driving after hitting pedestrian

At 850 pm on August 25 a 22 year old male was walking on the Bedford Highway in the area of Seton Rd when he was struck by a passing vehicle. The vehicle then left the scene of the accident.

 

A witness who provid­ed information on the run vehicle called this in.

 

Police were able to locate and arrest the 59-year-old suspec­t.

 

The victim was treat­ed at the hospital with non-life threate­ning injuries.

 

The suspect is being charged with leaving the scene of an ac­cident and impaired driving.
