Driver Ticketed after Vehicle / Pedestrian Accident

Halifax Regional Police responded to a vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred this morning in Halifax.

At 11:51 a.m., police responded to a vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred on Inglis Street near South Bland Street. A car was travelling westbound when it hit a 64-year-old woman in a marked crosswalk. She was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries to her leg.

The 41-year-old male driver was issued a summary offence ticket under Section 125(1)(a) of the Motor Vehicle Act for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
