Driver ticketed for hitting pedestrian in Spryfield area

Halifax Regional Police have charged the driver in a vehicle pedestrian collision that occurred this weekend in Halifax.

On March 11 at approximately 7:30 p.m., police responded to a vehicle pedestrian collision at the intersection of Lynnett Road and Forbes Street. The driver of a vehicle was turning right onto Lynnett Road from Forbes Street and struck a man who was crossing Lynnette Street at the intersection.

The 32-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a 49-year-old man, was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
