Drug Charges After Bedros Lane Search

A man faces a drug charge after a search warrant was executed on August 15 in Halifax.
At 8:30 p.m., officers assigned to the Drug Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division conducted the search of an apartment in the 0-100 block of Bedros Lane. Officers seized a quantity of cocaine and drug paraphernalia during the search.
A 24-year-old Halifax man was arrested at the scene and faces a charge of possession of drugs. He has been released from custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.
Drug activity often involves violence that puts innocent citizens at risk and is detrimental to the overall safety of our communities. The Drug Unit investigates complaints and targets people involved in the purchase and sale of drugs. Citizens are encouraged to report drug activity to police at 902-490-5020.
