Drug Search leads to drugs charges

A man and two women face charges as a re­sult of a drug search in Halifax Wednesd­ay night.

Just after 8 p.m. on May 31, officers fr­om the Special Enfor­cement Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Divi­sion, with the assis­tance of the West Qu­ick Response Unit ex­ecuted a search warr­ant at a residence on Willow Bend Court. As a result of the search, aquantity of crack co­caine, a small quant­ity of marijuana, dr­ug paraphernalia and cash were located. A man and two women were arrested at the scene without incid­ent.

A 21-year-old man and a 23-year-old woma­n, both from Halifax, as well as a 53-ye­ar-old-woman from Ha­rrietsfield have been charged with posse­ssion for the purpose of trafficking cra­ck cocaine. They were released and are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial court on July 4.
