Drug Search Results in Charges

Two men face charges as a result of a drug search executed Wednesday night in Dartmouth.
 
At 9:08 p.m. on March 9, members of the Special Enforcement Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 0-100 block of Prince Arthur Avenue. As a result of the search, quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, MDMA and marihuana were seized along with drug paraphernalia, scales, cell phones and a sum of cash. Officers arrested two men during the search.
 
A 28-year-old man from Dartmouth and 27-year-old man from Head of Jeddore both face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession for the purpose of trafficking in MDMA and possession for the purpose of trafficking marihuana under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
 
Both men were released on a Promise to Appear and are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial court on April 27.
