Investigators with the Sexual Assault Investigation Team (SAIT) of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have charged a teacher from Five Bridges Junior High School, Hubley following a six week investigation.
 
On February 5, 2016, police were notified of an incident where a teacher had inappropriate contact with a student.  Officers with SAIT began an investigation which resulted in the arrest of 36-year-old Sarah Allt Harnish of Stillwater Lake today. 
 
Harnish has been charged with Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference and was released on conditions including:
 
·         No contact with the victim
·         No contact with persons under the age of 16 years
·         Remain away from schools, parks, playgrounds, pools, community centres, or any place known to be frequented by children
 
The accused is scheduled to appear at Halifax Provincial Court on May 3, 2016.
