“Drugs” and the City

Halifax Regional PoliceTwo adult males face drug charges after a search of two vehicles turned up a quantity of marijuana.

Shortly after 1 am police noticed four people with two vehicles acting suspiciously in the parking lot of the Canada Trust Court, at 1475 Bedford Highway.

A subsequent search of the vehicles turned up drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia.

A 19 year old male faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking. A 21 year old male was charged with possession. Both were released to appear in court at a later date. The two other parties were released without charges.

Earlier on Tuesday Members of West Division’s Quick Response Unit conducted a traffic stop on highway 102 near the Bedford Exit at approximately 5pm yesterday.

As a result, a quantity of marijuana was seized.

Two adults from Newfoundland, a 31 year old female and a 24 year old male, will appear in court today charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The male was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.
