Three youths arrested for spreading graffiti

Halifax Regional PoliceBecause graffiti also happens in Bedford:

On October 2 at 9 pm two Central Division Community Response Officers were checking the area of École Lemarchant St. Thomas School on Watt Street in Halifax.

They noticed a strong odour of spray paint. Upon further investigation, the officers determined the school had been freshly spray-painted.

Three Halifax youths (two aged 14 and the other aged 13) were arrested and released to their parents.

All three are proceeding through the Restorative Justice Program.

Spreading graffiti is a crime, and its presence can impact our community’s reputation, property values, and citizens’ sense of pride and safety.

If you observe someone spreading graffiti in HRM, call police immediately at 490-5020.
