Now that many of us are poised for the Christmas weekend, some of us still work tomorrow, thanks generous employer, we can finally kick back to enjoy some seasonal cheer. Some of us really love to make that extra effort and light up the neighborhood with lights and decor. Thanks to my little one, I truly have rediscovered the beauty of a neighborhood lit up with al the colors, tacky plastic Santas, reindeers and ornaments. A number of night drives have been shared with her and the joy she gets from those decorations is dazzling. 

 

All that effort, all the joy it brings and it never occurred to me to actually thank a neighbor for brightening up my families holiday.  It is a lost art, 'thanks'. I grew up in a household that always took the time to send a note of thanks to a friend or a loved one for a gesture. A simple thank you note which has seemed to slip into obscurity these days. 

 

Now don't think I'm asking you to put money in Hallmarks pocket, me thinks they are doing just fine these days, all this good cheer came from an inspired talk with an incredibly talented DSider by the name of Sarah Hart. 

 

Sarah, owner of greeting card company Hart to Heart, has come up with a way to effortlessly let your neighbors know that you appreciate them with a simple card. She has set up a link to a free template you can download, print and hang on your neighbors doorknob. 

 

Hart to Heart offers some wonderful fresh twists on the typical greeting card, all handmade lines beautifully designed by Sarah herself. 

 

I have to say this frosty Grinch broke that heart measuring device after one conversion with Sarah. She truly understands the value of a simple gesture that can spread some joy this season, and any time of the year.
