Early Morning Stabbing Incident On Bay Road

This morning at 4:25 AM HRP officers attended a stabbing incident that occurred on the roadside near St. Margarets Bay Rd / Albert Walker Dr. in Halifax. 
The victim, a 28 year old man, had been in an altercation with a man known to him, a physical confrontation took place and the victim was slashed in the face with a sharp object resulting in a significant facial injury. A suspect was identified in relation to the assault and officers attended the 29 year old man’s residence located in the 6000 block of Jubilee Rd in Halifax. Upon arrival at the residence the responding officers confirmed that the suspect was in the home, the suspect was initially uncooperative with police but eventually surrendered to members of the HRP Emergency Response Team. The suspect remains in police custody at this time and this investigation is in its early stages.
 
The victim in this matter has been treated and has now been released from hospital.
