Early morning Summerville car crash puts one in hospital, Summerville, N.S.

Yarmouth County RCMP are investigating a serious vehicle crash that occurred around 3:00 a.m. At 3:07 a.m. RCMP, EHS and Yarmouth Fire Department responded to a single vehicle crash near the intersection of Memory Land and Mood Road in Summerville.

At 3:07 a.m. RCMP, EHS and Yarmouth Fire Department responded to a single vehicle crash near the intersection of Memory Land and Mood Road in Summerville.

The Jaws of Life and a local tow truck was needed to extract the lone 29-year-old man from a vehicle which came to rest against a light pole. The man was transported to hospital and air lifted to Halifax with serious injuries.

The road conditions were partly snow covered and weather was clear at the time of the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation with the assistance of the RCMP Traffic Analysts.
