Enfield RCMP investigate alleged kidnapping incident at gunpoint

Enfield RCMP arrested four individuals after receiving a complaint that an 18-year-old man was kidnapped at gunpoint from a roadside in Elmsdale.
Enfield RCMP arrested four individuals after receiving a complaint that an 18-year-old man was kidnapped at gunpoint from a roadside in Elmsdale.
 
On August 5th, at approximately 5:45 p.m., RCMP Enfield, Indian Brook and Rawdon Detachment members responded to a report of a kidnapping in the Elmsdale area. RCMP immediately converged in the area and the alleged victim was located alone on a private road in Lantz.  Shortly after, RCMP members located a suspect vehicle in a Lantz subdivision and the four adult male occupants were arrested.  The suspects were brought to Enfield Detachment for questioning. 
 
Further investigation revealed that the alleged kidnapping did take place, however there were no firearms involved and the victim was not hurt. No charges have been laid at this time, this was not a random act. The East Hants Street Crime Enforcement Unit continue to investigate.
