Enfield Threats Investigation – RCMP refer matter to SiRT, Enfield, N.S.

RCMP have contacted the Nova Scotia Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT) regarding a man’s injury during an arrest as part of a threats investigation in Enfield.

On May 22nd, At 4:22 p.m.

, RCMP responded to a threats complaint at a residence on John Murray Drive, Enfield. Upon arrival, police found three intoxicated males. One male was threatening another male at the residence. He also began threatening the two police officers when they arrived. The 52-year-old male was intoxicated, placed under arrest and began to struggle with police. During the arrest, the man’s arm was injured. He was taken to the Cobequid Health Center for treatment.

SiRT has taken over the investigation. Given the matter is now being investigated by SIRT, the RCMP is not unable to disclose further details.
