Eskasoni RCMP have arrested a 39-year-old Eskasoni man for drug trafficking.

At approximately 8 a.m. on June 18th, RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on Shore Road in Eskasoni.

A quantity of prescription pills were seized (Oxycodone and percocet) as well as cash and other drug paraphernalia.

Jason Charles Francis, 39, was arrested at the residence without incident. Francis, who is facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, was remanded into custody and will appear in Sydney Provincial Court today.
