Eskasoni RCMP have seized prescription pills and cash following two drug searches in the community.

On Wednesday, November 20th, Eskasoni RCMP executed two Search Warrants at residences on Pine Street.

As a result of the searches, a quantity of prescription pills and cash were seized. Two females and one male were arrested and have been charged with drug offences.

Kenneth John Francis, 28, and Vanessa Anne Marie Cabot, 28, both of Eskasoni, have been charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and two counts of Trafficking in a controlled substance. They are appearing today in Sydney Provincial Court.

A 23-year-old female, also from Eskasoni has been released on a Promise to Appear in court in January 2014. She will face two charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The investigation is continuing.
