Hazard identified: The connection in the range’s gas line may be loose. There is a potential for gas to escape from the connection, posing an explosion or fire hazard. As of April 11, 2019, the company has received 5 reports in Canada of gas odour and no reports of fire or injuries.
Consumers should immediately shut off the gas supply to the appliance and not use it until the rear gas connection to the range has been inspected and serviced. This service may be arranged with Fisher & Paykel at no cost to the consumer. If you are unsure how to shut off the appliances gas supply please contact your gas fitter.
