Flipped vehicle in the trees and no occupants, HRP ask for help in Chain Lake accident

At approximately 10:00 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a single motor vehicle crash in the 0-100 block of Chain Lake Dr.  Responding HRP members located 1 vehicle upside down in the woods but the occupants had left the area.  HRP Patrol, assisted by an RCMP K9 unit searched the area for the occupants but they were not located. It is believed, from evidence gathered, that the vehicle lost control onto the shoulder of the road, struck a power pole support cable, flipped and came to rest upside down approx. 20 meters into the treeline.  Officers are looking to speak with anyone who may have any knowledge of this crash and ask that they contact Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or texting a tip – Tip 202 + your message to 274637.
