“Women will enjoy a supportive environment,” said Deborah Currie, community facilitator for Western HRM. “I’m looking forward to providing computer classes at Terence Bay C@P Site, among other locations. We’ll cover basic computer skills and how to use email and the internet. If she wants to, a participant can also take more advanced classes in programs such as Excel and PowerPoint.”
The goal of this project is to support women in their efforts to improve their skills and their employment opportunities. By working with a broad range of community organizations such as c@p sites, community and employment resource centres, IT Works for All Women plans to reach 175 women.
This project is sponsored by the WEE Society www.weesociety.ca and funded under the Canada -Nova Scotia Labour Market Agreement.
