Gm Collin Phytoaromatic Mask: A Review

acne relief, how to get rid of a pimple, zits, clear skin,

I adore this product. After receiving a sample after a facial I received from The Summit Spa here in Halifax I knew I needed to share this gem with you dearest blog reader! This mask is designed to reduce redness (which for me is perfect for the area around my chin (breakout city) and around my nose, but what I’ve discovered is that it helps to get rid of blemishes! No you don’t need to re-read that, you read it correctly the first time.
This product actually works!

A light-textured green clay mask that leaves skin supple, radiant, purified and feeling fresh? And gets rid of my stubborn break outs? I’m into it. Here’s a little bit of info on the product.

Usage Instructions:

Apply to cleansed skin. Apply a medium layer to face and neck. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse well.

I use this mask as a spot treatment for stubborn breakouts.  One evening I was cleansing my face, and I had one giant size zit on my forehead, and I thought mhm maybe if I put a little dab of this on my breakout it’ll get rid of it (much like you would see on the proactive commercial). I figured what the heck if it’s designed to eliminate bacteria and reduce puffiness it could work, and it did. I applied a very small amount to a pimple, and I went to bed, and so when I woke up I was pretty shocked at how much the pimple reduced in size, and in redness! It’s my go-to now when I get stubborn breakouts to the point that I’m not sure now what I’d do without it.
So needless to say I’ve been using this mask for individual spot treatments ever since.  I have had such an awful time with trying to get my skin on track, I’ve been so acne prone since I started university that I was at my wits end with it.  It’s pretty frustrating to feel like you are trying literally everything you can do to help, but it seems like nothing works. I’m happy to report that using the Yonka Cleansing Gel and Toner  (see that review here) has made such a drastic difference I can’t even begin to tell you, but because my acne is hormonal and I don’t want to use accutane I still get those odd break outs during certain fluctuations in hormones. So despite my best efforts I still get the odd pimple on my chin, and I’ve found that this product has been the only thing that’s worked to combat them! I’ve tried proactive before, but I don’t like the idea that you skin gets addicted to it, and also that it bleaches your skin (hello skin cancer), and so I tend to steer clear of it.  As far as I know these products are naturally derived and don’t bleach your skin!
Check out this list of ingredients, you can actually pronounce them and they are found naturally in nature. Go figure!
Green Clay: purifies, mineralizes, detoxifies
Kaolin: purifies, heals, regulates pH levels
Butchers Broom root extract, Panthenol, Calendula flower extract, Hydrolyzed yeast protein, Horse Chestnut extract: reduces irritation, soothes, desensitizes
Mulberry Leaf Extract: harnesses free radicals, repairs and regenerates skin tissues
Lemon Peel Oil, Rosemary oil, Citronella oil, and Cornmint leaf oil: antiseptic, purifies and balances
I’ve pretty much accepted that I’ll never be completely acne free, but at least I know there’s something out there that I can do about it. This my dear blog reader is my secret weapon against stubborn breakouts, except I’m terrible at keeping a good beauty secret, so of course I’m sharing it with you, and you can feel free to tell anyone! We’re all about sharing around here.
Hope you found this review helpful, and if you suffer from stubborn zits like me know that you’re not alone, and there’s hope. This product actually does work. If you give it a go let me know how you fair off; I’d love to hear if it also works for you too! Or if you have any suggestions please feel free to share, either comment below or tweet me @shortpresents I’m all ears or I guess in this case, I’m all eyes.
