Reports of a gunshot in Dartmouth on Saturday morning have resulted in charges for a 51-year old man.

10-166129 – Discharge of a firearm: At 2:15 am police responded to a call of a gun shot in the area of Macrae Av and Gaston Rd in Dartmouth. It was reported to the police that a male who was emotionally distraught was in his back yard and fired a gun shot in to the air. Police located the male party at the scene and he was arrested without incident. A firearm was also located and seized from the scene. No one was injured.  A 51 year old male will be appearing in Dartmouth court on Monday facing a number of weapons related charges.
