Halifax Crown Attorneys Getting Assaulted

The Edmonton Sun (Yes, that Edmonton) ran a story yesterday detailing increasing threats and violence against Crown attorneys here in Halifax.  It’s an issue not many of us really think about, and getting serious.  From the article:

“The Nova Scotia Public Prosecution Service has hired an armed off-duty police officer to provide security for its office at the Halifax provincial courthouse at a cost of $8,752.60 a month.”
