Halifax District RCMP arrest four youths after theft from motor vehicles, Cole Harbour, N.S.

2016/1/14 On January 13, 2016 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to Lundy Dr. regarding a complaint of four males dressed in black going though motor vehicles. Once on scene, members followed tracks of the suspects in freshly fallen snow and located them nearby on Karen Dr. The four males were arrested without incident. A 15 and 17 year-old-male from Dartmouth and a 14 and 17-year-old male from Cole Harbour will appear in court on a later date to face charges related to this incident. The investigation is continuing.Police want to remind the public that in many cases, thefts from vehicles are a crime of opportunity. The chances of it happening are greatly reduced by simply removing any valuables and locking the vehicle.If you are a victim of a vehicle break-in or witness any suspicious activity, please report it to any RCMP detachment or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
