Halifax District RCMP investigate crash, Halifax , N.S.

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a crash involving a pick-up truck hitting a house last evening on Greenwich Drive in Cole Harbour. At approximately 1:05 a.m. this morning, RCMP responded to a report that a truck crashed into the garage of a home.

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a crash involving a pick-up truck hitting a house last evening on Greenwich Drive in Cole Harbour.

At approximately 1:05 a.m. this morning, RCMP responded to a report that a truck crashed into the garage of a home.

An immediate patrol was made to the location and RCMP were able to locate and apprehend the driver. An elderly woman was sleeping in the residence at the time. Although the home was structurally damaged, the woman was not hurt.

The 19-year-old male driver from Cole Harbour was arrested for Impaired Driving without incident and was taken to Cole Harbour detachment. He was later released from police custody and will appear in court on June 25th, 2014. The investigation is continuing.
