Halifax District RCMP investigate destroyed excavator, North Preston, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP are investigating a damage to property complaint that occurred shortly after midnight on Tuesday. On Tuesday August 12th, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Cole Harbour Fire Department and the RCMP responded to a vehicle fire on the Habitat for Humanity construction site on Upper Governor Road.

On Tuesday August 12th, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Cole Harbour Fire Department and the RCMP responded to a vehicle fire on the Habitat for Humanity construction site on Upper Governor Road.

When emergency responders arrived on scene they found an excavator on the property being used for landscaping engulfed in flames. The fire destroyed the equipment leaving it unusable. The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious and police are continuing their investigation.
