Halifax District RCMP put the brakes on car breaks, Middle Sackville, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP arrest youth for a series of car breaks in the Sunset Ridge subdivision. From November 24th to November 26th, over a dozen residents reported overnight thefts from their vehicles parked in their driveways on Wakefield, Avebury and Barnsley Court, Beaconsfield Way and Hanwell Drive.

From November 24th to November 26th, over a dozen residents reported overnight thefts from their vehicles parked in their driveways on Wakefield, Avebury and Barnsley Court, Beaconsfield Way and Hanwell Drive.

On Wednesday, November 26th, Halifax District RCMP arrested a Middle Sackville 16 year-old youth responsible for these thefts. Officers from Lower Sackville laid five counts of theft under $5,000. The youth has been released from custody on strict conditions including a curfew that extends from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily. He is to appear in Youth Court Halifax on January 8th, 2015.
