Halifax District RCMP seeking public’s assistance in hit and run pedestrian coll­ision

RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance with respect to a hit and run vehicle collision which occur­red about 12:45 p.m. today at the inters­ection of Cow Bay Ro­ad and Cleary Drive. A 24-year old male was walking on Cow Bay Road when he was hit from behind by a gold or yellow-colo­ured compact car.  The pedestrian hit the windshield of the car and was thrown into the air.  The car fled the scene and should have damage to its windshield and would be missing a side mirror. The pe­destrian was taken to hospital with seri­ous injuries but non life-threatening inj­uries.

Halifax District RCMP is asking anyone with information on the driver and vehicle to call them at 902-490-5020.
