Update: Halifax gas station robbed at knifepoint

 In relation to a robbery that occurred at approximately 5:00 am this morning at the Robie St Irving, located at 2499 Robie St, Halifax, members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have charged a 31 year old man from Millbrook, NS.  This man will appear in Halifax Provincial court on Monday July 11th charged with Robbery and breaching a court order (Recognizance).  The additional man and girl  that had been arrested have been interviewed and released from custody without charge.  Investigators are searching for a second suspect in this matter described as:  white man, early 20’s, 5’5″ tall, a scruffy unshaven face, buzz cut style hair,wearing a light colour sweat shirt withhorizontal blue stripes and dark blue pants.  Investigators are asking anyone with information on this second suspect or his whereabouts to the Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020. At approximately 5:00 am Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a Robbery in progress at the Robie St Irving, located at 2499 Robie St in Halifax.  The suspects had fled the business prior to police arrival.  Information was provided by store staff that two men had produced a knife and robbed the store of cigarettes, money and other store product.  The suspects were described as:  suspect 1 – a white man in his twenties, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, short dark brown hair, possibly with a facial tattoo and wearing a hat.  Suspect 2 – white man, wearing a stripped sweatshirt and aviator style sunglasses.  A short time later HRP arrested two men and a woman in the 5700 block of West St in Halifax.  These suspects are currently in custody being interviewed by members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, more information will be released when it becomes available.

Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have any knowledge of this incident and ask that they contact Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020.
