The Halifax Jungle Run will be held Sunday, April 2nd at 10:00AM in Point Pleasant Park.
The race is a family friendly event with face painting, a dance warm-up with the Dal Tiger and a costume contest. Participants receive pizza, a snazzy safari hat and jungle themed sunglasses. Complimentary T-shirts will also be available to the first 50 registrants.
Finishers compete to win prizes and beat the “Tiger Runner”, an experienced cross-country runner last year’s reigning champ. Performances prizes will be awarded to those that catch the tiger, as well as overall and top age category placers.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Point Pleasant Park in cooperation with Enactus Dalhousie’s 2000 Trees initiative, which was formed to promote reforestation of Canadian park spaces.
