Halifax RCMP investigate stabbing, Cole Harbour, N.S.

Halifax RCMP is investigating a stabbing incident that occurred this afternoon at Auburn Drive High School in Cole Harbour. At 2:15 p.m., Halifax RCMP and Emergency Health Services (EHS) responded to a stabbing incident that occurred on school property.

At 2:15 p.m., Halifax RCMP and Emergency Health Services (EHS) responded to a stabbing incident that occurred on school property.

Preliminary investigation revealed that following a verbal altercation, an 18 year-old-man from Mineville was stabbed in the leg with a knife by an 17-year old man from East Preston. When police arrived on scene, the suspect had fled the scene. The suspect and victim are known to each other.

The victim, who had minor injuries, was examined by EHS and released at the scene.

Police are looking for the 17-year-old suspect. This incident is being investigated by the RCMP/HRP General Investigations Section.
