Halifax Regional Police are Investigating Overnight Shooting at the Seahorse Tavern

At 1:56 am this morning, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Gottingen St. and Portland Place. A 23 year old man was shot. He was transported to the hospital, with non-life threatening injuries. He was standing inside the Sea Horse Tavern, when there was an altercation outside between two men, one man was being robbed and shots were fired. A round went through the wall and hit the victim.

HRP Forensic Identification Unit as well as the Integrated General Investigative Unit have attended and are continuing the investigation.
