Halifax Regional Police Investigating Assault With Weapon

Police are investigating an assault with a weapon that occurred this morning in Halifax.
 
At 6:18 a.m., police responded to an assault in progress at a residence in the 6200 block of North Street. Officers received information that two men known to each other were in a physical altercation and a weapon may have been used. The 54-year-old male victim, who was stabbed during the incident, was taken to hospital by EHS with non-life threatening injuries.
 
A 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene without incident and is currently in police custody. The investigation is on-going at this time.
