Traffic & Water Service Advisory – Upper Water Street – Water System Maintenance
(September 20, 2022) From 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 21, to 4:00 AM on Thursday, September 22, Halifax Water crews will be working on Upper Water Street between the Cogswell Interchange and George Street, Halifax. Customers in the area may experience a change in water pressure and/or discoloured water following this maintenance. It is recommended that customers experiencing discoloured water run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. To learn more about discoloured water and to report it, please visit www.halifaxwater.ca/discoloured-water<www.halifaxwater.ca/discoloured-water>. There will be a detour around this work area. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks remain open. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure repair work may have caused.
For the safety of work crews and residents, please observe social/physical distancing requirements (2 metres of separation).
