Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Gottingen Street & Falkland Street – Water Main Repair
(February 18, 2022) From 9:00 PM on Sunday, February 20, to 7:00 AM on Monday, February 21, Halifax Water crews will be undertaking a water main repair near 2002 Gottingen Street, Halifax. This is a repair of critical infrastructure for the water system in the area. Beginning at 11:00 PM on Sunday, February 20, water service will be temporarily shut down for customers in the areas shown on the attached map. There will be stop-and-go traffic in the work zone. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks remain open. Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
