Surrounding sidewalk area will be closed

From 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 8 to 4:00 AM on Monday, May 9, Halifax Water crews will be repairing a water main near 6399 North Street, Halifax. Water service will be temporarily shut down in this area during this work. There will be stop-and-go traffic through the North Street & Oxford Street intersection and the Chebucto Road & Oxford Street intersection. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. The sidewalk near this work will be closed. Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear.

Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure repair work may cause.
