Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Spring Garden Road & Birmingham Street – Water Valve Replacement
(October 14, 2021) From 10:00 PM on Thursday, October 21 to 6:00 AM on Friday, October 22, Halifax Water crews will be on-site working to replace a water valve at the intersection of Birmingham Street and Spring Garden Road, Halifax. During this repair, water service will be temporarily shut down on:
* Birmingham Street between Spring Garden Road and Clyde Street * Clyde Street between Queen Street and Dresden Row There will be stop-and-go traffic through the intersection of Spring Garden Street and Birmingham Street. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks remain open. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause. For the safety of work crews and residents, please observe social/physical distancing requirements (2 metres of separation).
