Two years ago today, I started a blog. After a great birthday supper with friends and family, I started thinking about my love affair with food, cooking and restaurants, and how to sate my never ending desire to talk about it. Since most people can only talk about food for so long without getting hungry, I decided to send my thoughts out to the bloggosphere and see what others had to say about it. And so, on my birthday, January 5th, 2008, With Bite was born. With Bite is a food and beverage blog, chronicling my food and beverage experiences throughout Nova Scotia and beyond.

Now, I’ve decided to bring something new to the table with HaliBites, a food and drink specials guide to keep you up-to-date on where to eat and drink on the cheap in Halifax. With a listing of specials going on in pubs, neighborhood cafes and fine dining restaurants, this blog is intended to get you out of the house, away from fast food, and exploring Halifax’s diverse culinary offerings!
