L-A: I think, technically, I should ask us all to remember, remember, the fifth of November, as it’s the day Guy Fawkes tried to burn the joint down in political protest. But I come from a land where we got straight to the point: let’s burn stuff! To the best of my recollection, we called in Bonfire Day and we had bonfires in the back yards (and maybe tried to drink stolen wine our of travel mugs when we were teenagers).

And while history and setting things on fire aren’t the usual purview of a fashion/pop culture blog, we know how to make it work: bonfire inspired fashunz! In a list!

1. The Girl on Frigging Fire

The obvious first choice.

Sadly for the rest of us, we don’t live in a world where flaming dresses (and living to tell the tale) are a possibility. Then again, we also don’t live in a world where our children are put in a lottery to fight to the death as a sport. You win some, you lose some.

(As an aside, I need to take a moment to declare how anti-Team Peeta I am. I don’t give a fig for Gale, but Peeta is part of the top five most useless characters in all of literature. He should have died in book one. And then again in book two. Top five list?)

2. Laser cut, bitches

I’ve got no love for Glee, in fact, I’ve got a grudge against it and Ryan Murphy. But this laser cut on Dianna Agron? I have no idea how she got into it without ripping it to shreds, but I love it.

3. Kate Winslet in Ben di Lissi

Shit, son. This dress is amazeballs. Plus it’s on Kate Winslet. You don’t even need to set this one on fire – it’s hot all on it’s own.

4. Zooey Deschanel in this

I know she’s a go to girl because she’s my Pretend Bestie, but I love the bottom of this. The jagged ruffles are kind of like flames. Kind of.
