Hit & Run On Herring Cove Road

At 7:40 PM Police responded to a hit & run motor vehicle accident that occurred near 498 Herring Cove Rd in Halifax.
At 7:40 PM Police responded to a hit & run motor vehicle accident that occurred near 498 Herring Cove Rd in Halifax.
 It appears that the run vehicle had made a u-turn in the roadway resulting in a collision with another vehicle outbound on the HCR which ended up in a ditch on the roadside. There were 3 persons in the struck vehicle, an adult male and female and a female toddler, all three were taken to hospital for precautionary reasons and all have been released.
 
Numerous police units attended the scene,  the surrounding area was checked and  the vehicle that fled was located in the 0-200 Block of Old Sambro Rd. The vehicle was seized and is undergoing forensic examination at this time. No arrests have been made in this matter.
 
This incident remains under investigation.
